One board, filled in by everyone there
Status: in development. There is nothing to buy on this page and no sign-up — this is a description of what's being built, written down so it can be argued with before it exists.
At a wedding or a christening or a fortieth, everyone in the room is already taking photographs. They end up in two hundred separate camera rolls and nobody ever sees most of them. The disposable cameras people put on tables are trying to solve this, and they solve it badly — you get them developed weeks later and half are dark.
The host designs one board with a space for each guest. Guests fill their own space from their own phone, at the party. Everybody walks away with the finished thing.
How it would work
- The host designs the board In the editor you already have — the same boards, garlands, themes and type as everything else here — but laid out with a numbered space per guest rather than filled with your own photos.
- Guests get a link or scan a code One code on the table, or a link in the invitation. It opens in a phone browser. Nothing to install, no account to make, no app-store trip in the middle of a party.
- Each guest fills their own space They pick a photo, position it in their slot, and that's the whole job. It's deliberately a much smaller screen than the full editor — one photo, one space, done.
- Everyone keeps a copy The guest gets their version to keep and post. The host gets the board.
Where the photos go
This is the part that decides whether the thing is worth building, because you are asking people to hand over photographs of their families at a party.
The intended answer is that a guest's photo is rendered on the guest's own phone and never uploaded at all — the host's board is a design, not a photo album, so it can be public data while the photographs stay private. Where a host does want to collect what guests made, that has to be something guests are told plainly on the screen where it happens, not a line in a policy nobody reads at a party. Anything that keeps a copy has to say for how long, and actually delete it then.
Those are requirements being designed around, not features that exist. When this ships, the privacy policy will say exactly what is kept and for how long, and this page will stop hedging.
